About Foundation of Courage

Foundation of Courage (FOC) programming teaches recently initiated brothers how to be fully engaged Fraternity members. There are six FOC programs, which were designed to promote brotherhood and connect the Fraternity’s current actions with our history and values as expressed in the Ritual.

All brothers should complete the FOC programs within four to six weeks of initiation, and FOC should be hosted every time brothers are initiated into the chapter (approximately two to three times per year).

Additionally, chapters are expected to use the “Purple Pilgrim” as outlined in their curriculum. All brothers must have access to the “Purple Pilgrim,” which is available as a purchased hardback book or a free e-book, and the Foundation of Courage Workbook. (Note: Chapters may request printed copies of the workbook when they order the “Purple Pilgrim.”)
