Brotherhood Welcome
This session is the first formal Fraternity event members experience. This one-hour program is designed to let potential Brother Mentors welcome brothers to this part of their journey in Phi Gamma Delta.

History of the Fraternity
Beginning with the Fraternity’s founding in 1848, this session encourages brothers to apply lessons from the past to the present. Members will be encouraged to see themselves as part of the organization’s history moving forward.

- Newly initiated brothers should complete the History of the Fraternity course on the LMS before this session

Business of the Fraternity
This session educates brothers about the work of the Fraternity – the internal systems allowing chapters to function and meet the greater Fraternity’s goals. It connects brothers’ strengths to committee work, leadership positions and chapter meetings. The goal is to integrate brothers into the chapter, ensuring they are active, contributing members.
- Approximate Run-Time: 60-80 minutes
- Cabinet and Committee Chairmen should arrive 15 minutes before the program begins
- Newly initiated brothers should complete the Business of the Fraternity course on the LMS before this session

Legacy of the Fraternity
Introducing the insignia of the Fraternity and the transformational work of Phi Gamma Delta in developing Courageous Leaders. This session shares the Courageous Leader framework and tasks new brothers with preserving the legacy of the Fraternity through their individual actions at life’s “Testing Points.”
- Approximate Run-Time: 75-95 minutes
- The Foundation of Courage Chairman and Brother Mentors should complete the Courageous Leadership online module before this program
- Potential Brother Mentors should arrive 15 minutes before the program begins
- Newly initiated brothers should complete the Legacy of the Fraternity course on the LMS before this session

Mentor-Mentee Event
Chapters should host an event for mentors and mentees to continue building their relationship and discussing the goals they both have for the mentorship relationship.
- A graduate brother must be present at all Mentor-Mentee events or similar events: “Big Brother/Little Brother” reveals, or similar events/activities, may not be conducted unless the Purple Legionnaire (PL), a Board of Chapter Advisors member or another graduate/advisor designated by the PL or Section Leader is present.
- These events must be substance free.
CommunityEDU
All Foundation of Courage brothers are required to complete both parts of CommunityEdu through the LMS. This program includes important information about health and safety for individuals and the Fraternity.
- Part one of the program is due 10 days after joining.
- Part two is available 30 days after part one is completed.
