Phi Gamma Delta Position on Belonging

Phi Gamma Delta’s mission is to build courageous leaders who serve the world with the best that is in them. That mission is only fully realized when every brother – regardless of background, belief or identity – experiences a sense of belonging within our Fraternity.

Belonging is both our aspiration and our standard of excellence. Phi Gamma Delta strives for its chapters to reflect the campuses they call home and is committed to ensuring every brother has fair access to the opportunities our Fraternity provides. When that commitment is honored, brothers are empowered to contribute fully, and their talents, beliefs and backgrounds create a stronger, more enduring Phi Gamma Delta.

Central to this vision is our recognition of all people’s worth and dignity. This principle is rooted in the foundational values of our Fraternity, transcends the language of any particular moment, and will remain constant as our expression of it continues to evolve.

Phi Gamma Delta will not tolerate acts of discrimination or harassment by its members towards any individual or group on the basis of race, color, ethnicity, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, citizenship, ancestry, age, disabilities or any other characteristic protected by law. Any such acts are violations of Fraternity laws and policies, and allegations should be reported on the Incident Report.
