Zeta at Indiana and Lambda Iota at Purdue recently held their inaugural Run the Ball fundraiser, a 100% student-run initiative designed to raise $50,000 for Wheeler Mission and $50,000 for Urban Ministries while increasing awareness of homelessness and poverty in their local communities. On November 29, beginning at 5:00 am, Indiana and Purdue brothers ran the game football from Lafayette to Bloomington, Indiana in conjunction with the highly anticipated Indiana University (IU) vs. Purdue University (PU) Old Oaken Bucket Game.

Every dollar raised by the Indiana and Purdue chapters went directly to Wheeler Mission and Urban Ministries, respectively. Run The Ball is a call to action, bringing together students, alumni and community members to tackle homelessness and uplift our neighbors said Nick Frische (Indiana 2026), cabinet member and president of the event. “Every day in Bloomington, I see the individual’s experiencing homelessness, and I felt called to organize this event to show that fraternities can make a positive difference in our communities.”

The event will feature a charity run and culminate in a special presentation during the Old Oaken Bucket game, where brothers from both chapters will present a check to their beneficiaries.
