About 1848 Properties, Inc.
The Archons have established a national housing corporation for Phi Gamma Delta called 1848 Properties, Inc. The primary purpose of 1848 Properties, Inc. is to hold title to and safeguard certain assets of closed chapters, including proceeds from the sale of chapter properties.
What We Do
1848 Properties, Inc. will work with house corporations of closed or closing chapters to assist them in safe guarding and holding housing assets for future brothers of Phi Gamma Delta in a manner prescribed by and consistent with the by-laws of the Fraternity.
While the preferred model for ownership and management is the local house corporation, 1848 Properties has been charged with the responsibility to protect the valued housing assets of the Fraternity. If a local house corporation is unwilling or unable to do so, 1848 Properties Inc, may either manage such assets until such a time that a local house corporation or chapter is re-established.
