Alpha Omicron at Akron Wins Multiple Greek Leadership Awards

During the University of Akron’s 2025 Greek Leadership Awards, Alpha Omicron received several awards including the IFC Chapter of the Year Dean’s Cup, the highest honor a fraternity can receive, the IFC New Member Excellence award and the Service Commitment award, to name a few. These awards are a testament to the hard work and dedication brothers have put in over the past year.

Tampa Brothers Participates in Greek Week Supporting Make A Wish SW Florida

The Tau Beta Chapter partnered with the Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority for Tampa’s 2025 Greek Week competition. The Chapter’s team raised over $61,000 for Make A Wish South Florida, setting a new school fundraising record and helping their team win this year’s Greek Week.

Orientation Leaders are one of the highest honors a UGA student can receive as the group works tirelessly throughout the summer to welcome the entire freshmen class and their families to campus.

Owen Garwood Wins $10,000 from Alex Rodriquez

During a Bucknell basketball game, former MLB baseball player Alex “Arod” Rodriquez made a half-time show appearance to participate in a basketball shooting competition in honor of Owen Garwood (2027). Arod made the half-court shot, winning Owen $10,000.

Pittsburgh Co-Hosts Dodgeball Philanthropy Event for the Red Cross

The Pi Sigma Chapter collaborated with the Phi Delta Theta Fraternity and Alpha Delta Pi Sorority at Pittsburgh to host a dodgeball philanthropy event in February. Twenty-four teams participated in the event, allowing the Chapter to raise over $750 for the American Red Cross.

Two Iowa State Brothers Are Inducted into the Order of Omega

Iowa State brothers Max Miller (2027) and Sean Svoboda (2026) were inducted into the Order of Omega during the fall 2024 semester. Max also raised $1,000 for ISU’s Dance Marathon, which will be donated to the University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital.

California Riverside Graduate Brothers Gather for Reunion in France

In September 2024, 10 Rho Upsilon at California Riverside brothers and their spouses vacationed at Château St. Philippe in Saint-Jean-de-la-Porte, France. The château was originally built as a priory by Benedictine monks in 1032-33 and is the home of Chuck O’Neal (1988) and his wife, Sukeshi.

Rising Hope: A Documentary By Theo Avgerinos (Bucknell 2000)

On January 21, over 250 Bucknell students, including 90 Delta Chapter brothers, attended a special showing of “Rising Hope,” a documentary directed by Theodore “Theo” Avgerinos (2000). Six years in the making, “Rising Hope” is a collaboration among distinguished talents: Academy Award-winning documentary producer Lynn Appelle, Emmy Award-winning composer Alex Wurman and festival award-winning director Theo Avgerinos.
