Two Iowa State Brothers Are Inducted into the Order of Omega

Iowa State brothers Max Miller (2027) and Sean Svoboda (2026) were inducted into the Order of Omega during the fall 2024 semester. Max also raised $1,000 for ISU’s Dance Marathon, which will be donated to the University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital.

California Riverside Graduate Brothers Gather for Reunion in France

In September 2024, 10 Rho Upsilon at California Riverside brothers and their spouses vacationed at Château St. Philippe in Saint-Jean-de-la-Porte, France. The château was originally built as a priory by Benedictine monks in 1032-33 and is the home of Chuck O’Neal (1988) and his wife, Sukeshi.

Rising Hope: A Documentary By Theo Avgerinos (Bucknell 2000)

On January 21, over 250 Bucknell students, including 90 Delta Chapter brothers, attended a special showing of “Rising Hope,” a documentary directed by Theodore “Theo” Avgerinos (2000). Six years in the making, “Rising Hope” is a collaboration among distinguished talents: Academy Award-winning documentary producer Lynn Appelle, Emmy Award-winning composer Alex Wurman and festival award-winning director Theo Avgerinos.

Erik Linthorst (California Riverside 1993) Received Awards As a Filmmaker & Podcaster

Erik Linthorst (California Riverside 1993) is an award-winning filmmaker and podcaster who also advocates for those who are neurodivergent. His work includes the “Autistic Like: Graham’s Story” documentary and the “Autism Goes to College” documentary and podcast.

Iowa State Hosts S’more Roast Philanthropy for the USO

In November, Alpha Iota at Iowa State hosted their annual S’mores Roast philanthropy event, benefiting the USO. Brothers welcomed guests into the house and sold roasted s’mores and hotdogs, raising $1,100 for the USO.

Dominic Mendlik (Texas Christian 2025) was elected Student Body President. In this role, Dominic has already made a significant impact by advocating for policies that support academic flexibility and student mental health while revitalizing TCU’s Homecoming traditions.

Dave Willmer (Akron 1992)
Dave Willmer has been an active volunteer for the Fraternity for over 25 years. He has served twice as Section Leader in central Ohio for Ohio, Ohio State and Ohio Wesleyan chapters, and has also served his Alpha Omicron Chapter on the Board of Chapter Advisors and House Corporation. One of his main goals as Section Leader is to help re-establish the Sigma Chapter at Wittenberg University and help his chapters reach a GPA above the all-men’s average on their respective campus. Dave was presented with the Fraternity’s Haynes Award in 2024 as its most outstanding Section Leader.

The Knox Chapter Raises Money for a Brother’s Family Member Diagnosed with Leukemia

Gamma Deuteron at Knox held a philanthropy event to supporting a member’s biological brother, Chad, who was recently diagnosed with Acute T Cell Lymphoblastic Leukemia, a rare and aggressive form of cancer. Currently, the Chapter raised over $5,000 for Chad, and they will continue to raise money at givebutter.com/helpchad.

Indiana & Purdue Chapters Host Run the Ball Fundraiser to Combat Homelessness & Poverty

On November 29, the Zeta Chapter at Indiana University (IU) and Lambda Iota Chapter at Purdue University (PU) held their inaugural Run the Ball (RtB) fundraiser. RtB, a student-run initiative, was created to raise $50,000 for Wheeler Mission (WM) and $50,000 for Lafayette Urban Ministries (LUM), as well as increase awareness for homelessness and poverty in the chapters’ local communities.

Wisconsin Graduate Brother Gather for a Weekend-Long Reunion

In April 2024, Mu at Wisconsin graduate brothers gathered for a reunion weekend. Brothers enjoyed a fish fry dinner, a campfire, shooting clays and brotherhood.

George Washington & National Capital Fiji Clean Up Vietnam Memorial

In honor of Veteran’s Day, George Washington brothers woke up at dawn to clean the Vietnam Memorial on the National Mall. Brothers joined other volunteers from the National Capital Fiji Graduate Chapter, the Travis Manion Foundation, QinetiQ US and the Cub Scouts.
