Rob Roby (Ohio Wesleyan 1992) (right) and his son (left) traveled to Colorado to climb Mt. Elbert, the highest summit of the Rocky Mountains in North America, at a 14,439 ft elevation.
Hugh Smith & Charles Tulloh Receive Their Diamond Owl Certificates

The Rho Chi Chapter at Richmond awarded Hugh Smith (1953) (left) and Charles Tulloh (1953) (right) with their Diamond Owl certificates, honoring 75 years of membership. These brothers met during their freshman year of college, were initiated in April 1950 and were roommates until they graduated.
Today, Hugh and Charles are still close friends, and they both live in South Carolina.
Harrison Lehman (Richmond 2025) Earns Achievement Award for Excellence in Scholarship & Leadership

Harrison Lehman (Richmond 2025) received the Jepson School of Leadership Studies’ C. J. Gray Achievement Award for Excellence in Scholarship & Leadership, which is awarded to a graduating student. The Jepson School and the Award are both named after Rho Chi Brothers: Robert Jepson (1964) and Dr. C. J. Gray (1933), respectively.
The Richmond Chapter Has a Successful Spring Recruitment & Philanthropy

During the spring 2025 semester, Rho Chi at Richmond welcomed and initiated 15 brothers (pictured). Additionally, the Chapter raised $1,150 for the New England Parkinson Association.

Melvin Taylor II (Knox 2014) is an award winning filmmaker, actor and assistant director. His comedy short film “Baldy” has earned many accolades, including over 20 film festival selections.
Rolling Stone Names Caleb Hearon 6th Most Influential Social Creator of 2025

Caleb Hearon (Missouri State 2017) was named the 6th Most Influential Social Creator of 2025 by Rolling Stone magazine. Caleb was selected as one of 25 social creators for his popular chat podcast, “So True With Caleb Hearon.” Caleb is a comedian, writer and actor, who starred in the comedy-drama “I Used to Be Funny” and the HBO Max romantic comedy “Sweethearts.” He is also the co-writer and star of the upcoming film “Trash Mountain” (directed by Lilly Wachowski), and his debut HBO comedy special will air this fall 2025.

Arizona Graduates (1950s & 1960s) Gather for Annual Reunion

Upsilon Alpha at Arizona graduate brothers from the 1950s and 1960s met in Corona Del Mar, California, for their annual Fiji reunion on August 22-24. The reunion began on Friday night, when brothers met for dinner at the Balboa Yacht Club. On Saturday evening, brothers met at Dick Cannon’s (1963) home for dinner, with special guest Stevie Eller, wife of Karl Eller (1952), who passed ad astra in 2019. Stevie and Karl are the namesakes of the Stevie Eller School of Dance and Eller School of Management at the University of Arizona, respectively. Finally, on Sunday morning, brothers gathered at the Cannon home for brunch. The event has been held for over 15 years.

Inland Empire Graduate Chapter Hosts Annual Pig Dinner & Golf Tournament

The Inland Empire Graduate Chapter held their 49th annual Pig Dinner on May 3. In the morning, brothers participated in a golf tournament, where they sponsored four veterans in association with PGA HOPE. Brothers also helped raise nearly $43,000 benefitting University of California Riverside’s autism resource center, SEARCH, which was featured in Erik Linthorst’s (California Riverside 1994) documentary, “Autism Goes to College.” During dinner, the Chapter presented Brian Dass (California Riverside 2001) with the Inland Empire Graduate Brother of the Year award and Dave Davies (California Riverside 2006) with the Kevin Kordys Lifetime Service Award.

Indiana Governors’ Pork Tenderloin Dinner Honors Holcomb, Pence & Daniels

On July 29, Phi Gamma Delta’s Indiana chapters hosted the Indiana Governors’ Pork Tenderloin Dinner at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The event was held in honor of five former Governors of the State of Indiana: Eric Holcomb (Hanover 1990) – 51st Governor, Mike Pence (Hanover 1981) – 48th Vice President of the U.S. & 50th Governor, Mitch Daniels (Purdue 2013) – 49th Governor, Frank O’Bannon (Indiana 1952) – 47th Governor, and Thomas Marshall (Wabash 1873) – 28th Vice President of the U.S. & 27th Governor.
